Leadership Lessons
compiled by Ron King
IT IS GOOD TO HOWEVER IT IS BETTER TO
"Go, Go, Go
"Get there first."
Be patient for short periods
Speed can create mistakes.
Higher speed = bigger wrecks.
Know all you can possibly know. Have common sense and know
what you do not know.  No one
feels good around a know-it-all
Plus humility can can be positive.
Be really good at something. Be competent at a lot of things.
Experience is the best teacher which
helps solve problems in the future.
Manage Win-Win situations  Manage Lose-Lose situations -
much more challenging and difficult
Take charge, call the shots,
be in control.
Embrace growth through less
control. Control can stymie
growth. "Less is more."
Build obedience
to a corporate plan.
Build loyalty to a cause -
It releases passion which is hard to
stop and draws out huge efforts.
Have leaders who are certain.  Have leaders who are clear about
risk.  There is no certainty.
Provide as much direction
as possible
Ask as many questions as
possible. It involves others.
Have people working for you.  Be working for your direct reports.
You have the tools to make
them successful.
Be really smart.  Be of good character
(reputation, personal attributes.)
